Hi, I’m Jonas.

I’ve been fascinated by photography for as long as I can remember. Part of the attraction is the ability to capture light, both analog and digital, and part of it is the engineering behind it. But what kept me coming back was discovering how much thought and intention goes into making a photograph. It’s a craft that rewards patience and observation, and that’s what I enjoy most about it.

My focus is portraits. I love working with the light at the edges of the day and letting the setting do some of the storytelling, whether that’s a stretch of coast, a piece of architecture, or a wide-open landscape.

By day I’m a software engineer, and that same curiosity carries over into photography. I like learning, experimenting, and refining my approach, whether that’s out in the field or sitting in front of Lightroom.

This website is a collection of photographs documenting the journey. It’s a way for me to look back on experiences, and occasionally let others come along for the ride.
